Video editor

Trim, split, restyle and export video ads on a timeline, or ask Spark to make the edit.

The video editor lets you fine-tune any generated video ad: trim clips, move captions, change volume, add your own media and export in the format you need. You can also describe a change and let Spark do it.

Open the editor

On a project board, click a video ad and choose Edit video. The editor opens with the full composition loaded. Changes save automatically.

Edit with Properties

Select anything on the timeline to see its properties:

  • Text and captions: change the wording and style. Use Apply to all captions to restyle every caption at once.
  • Timing: start, duration and end.
  • Transform: opacity, and a Cut or Crossfade transition.
  • Audio: volume and mute.
  • Color & effects: a color preset and its intensity.

Edit with Spark

Open the Spark tab and describe the change. Spark applies it to the selected element, or to the Whole video if nothing is selected. For example:

  • "Make the captions bigger"
  • "Lower the music volume to 40%"
  • "Move the captions higher"
  • "Trim the first clip to 3 seconds"

To regenerate a scene, open Scenes in the left panel and choose Edit scene with Spark.
