Adrio for ChatGPT dots

Connect your dot to Adrio and it can watch competitor ads, keep your angles and audiences current, and brief new creatives in Spark. It works in the background and asks before it changes anything.

How to connect

Takes about three minutes. You need a ChatGPT plan with dots and an Adrio account.

  1. 01

    Add Adrio as an app

    Once per ChatGPT account.

    1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
    2. Open Plugins, click +, and create an app. Name it Adrio, paste the URL above, and pick OAuth.

  2. 02

    Brief your dot

Send this as your dot's first message. Edit the rules to fit how you work.

    Briefing message
Use the Adrio app for all my ad creative work: https://api.adrio.ai/mcp
    - Scope: questions about competitor ads, my saved ads, angles, audiences and new ad creatives go through Adrio first.
    - Proactive: every morning, check new ads from the competitors on my Adrio watchlist and message me only when you spot a new angle or hook worth testing.
    - Rules: ask for my approval before starting any Spark run or changing my angles, audiences or boards.
Start now: show me the angles my brand is running and the biggest gap compared to my competitors.

    Let it work

Your dot checks Adrio in the background and messages you when something needs a decision.

    Example of a morning check-in
    • 07:02

A watchlisted competitor launched 6 new ads, all built around the 3pm energy slump. You don't have an angle for that yet.

      +2
      Needs a decision
    • 07:06

Drafted a "beat the 3pm slump" angle for your hero product from those ads.

    • 07:09

Saved the 3 strongest hooks to your Competitor hooks board.

      Waiting for approval
    • 07:12

Spark brief ready: 4 static ads on the new angle. Starting it will use credits.

The dot peeking over a stack of competitor ads

Watch the market

  • New ads from watchlisted competitors

  • Find ads that match your product
  • Track running jobs and Spark runs
The dot next to strategy cards linked by an orange line

Keep your strategy current

  • Create and edit angles
  • Create and edit audiences
  • Save ads to swipe file boards
  • Read brand and product context
The dot beside a fresh stack of new static ads

Make new creatives

  • Write a Spark brief
  • Start a run after you approve
  • Steer a run that's in flight
  • Retry or cancel a run

In the background your dot only uses read-only tools. Edits to angles, audiences and boards, and every Spark run that spends credits, wait for your approval.

Jobs to hand your dot

Dots are good at the recurring work nobody gets to. Try:

  • “Every morning, check my watchlisted competitors for new ads and tell me which hooks are new.”
  • “When a competitor ad has been running for 30+ days, save it to my Long runners board.”
  • “Every Monday, compare my angles to what competitors are running and list the gaps.”
  • “Write a Spark brief for three static ads on our strongest angle and ask me before you start it.”

FAQ

What are ChatGPT dots?

Dots are OpenAI's always-on agents, announced on September 29, 2026. You give a dot a goal, connect the apps it needs, and set rules for what it can do alone. It keeps working between conversations and messages you in ChatGPT, Slack or Teams when it needs a decision.

Which ChatGPT plans have dots?

Dots are rolling out to ChatGPT Pro outside the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, and to Business Premium in all supported regions. Enterprise has a beta that an admin has to turn on. You set up a dot from ChatGPT on desktop or the web, not from the mobile app.

Can my dot spend Adrio credits without asking?

No. When a dot works in the background it can only use read-only tools, so it can look at ads and your strategy but not change anything. Starting a Spark run, which uses credits, always waits for your approval.

Is it safe to connect Adrio to a dot?

You sign in with OAuth, so the dot never sees your password. It can only reach the organizations and brands your Adrio account can access, and you can disconnect it any time in Adrio under Settings → Integrations.

How much does it cost?

Connecting a dot to Adrio is free with any Adrio account. Browsing ads and editing your strategy don't use credits. Spark runs use credits from your Adrio plan, the same as starting them inside Adrio.

Does it work outside of dots?

Yes. Adrio's connector is a standard MCP server, so the same URL works in regular ChatGPT chats with Developer mode, in Claude, Cursor and Claude Code.

The Adrio sign-in window doesn't finish

Delete the app in ChatGPT and create it again with the exact URL above. Allow pop-ups for ChatGPT and make sure you get all the way to the Adrio approval screen.

My dot is using the wrong Adrio organization

Ask your dot to list your Adrio organizations, then tell it which one to use. Add the organization name to your briefing so it picks the right one every time.

Using Claude instead? Follow the Claude setup guide. Still stuck? Email info@adrio.ai.
