Clone a competitor ad

Turn an ad you like into a new ad for your own product, keeping what works and swapping in your brand.

Cloning rebuilds an existing ad for your product. Adrio studies the original, works out what makes it work, such as the layout, the type of shot and the copy structure, and remakes it with your product, brand and offer. It doesn't copy the competitor's product, claims or branding.

Find an ad to clone

Good sources:

Clone with Spark

This is the most flexible option.

  1. 1
On the ad, choose Use in Spark, or Clone → Open in Spark in its details.
  2. 2
Spark opens with the ad attached. Tell it what you want, for example "Clone this ad for our product, keep the layout but use our review numbers".
  3. 3
Review the plan. Its adaptation setting controls how closely each ad follows the original, from Match reference to Style only.
  4. 4
    Click Approve & generate.

To clone several ads at once, add them to the stack in Inspiration or a Swipe File board, then click Use N ads → Open in Spark.

Clone in the editor

  1. 1
On an ad card, open the menu and click Clone Ad, or click Clone in the ad's details.
  2. 2
For a single-image ad, Adrio opens Create New Creative with the ad as a reference and its size pre-selected.
  3. 3
For a carousel or dynamic ad, first choose up to 4 images in Select Reference Images, then click Clone.
  4. 4
Finish the Advanced wizard and click Start creative generation.

Cloning always opens the Advanced wizard, even before your workspace has made its first batch.
