How to turn a product URL into Meta ads
Add your brand
The first time, enter your website. Adrio fills in your logo, colors, voice and tagline from it. You do this once per brand. See the quickstart.
Paste the product URL
Open Products, click Add product, and paste the page into Product or store URL. During onboarding the same step is called What are you selling.
Check what was imported
The product form opens filled in with the title, description, product type, selling points and photos. Fix anything that is off, keep the photos you want, and click Create product. If you imported the URL before, Adrio shows Already imported and offers to open the existing product.
Pick how to make the ads
In Basic mode you choose the product, one size and a count (4, 8, 12 or 20, or type your own), and Spark plans the concepts and writes the copy. Advanced mode lets you choose the angle, audience, reference ads, who writes the copy and the fonts. It unlocks after your workspace makes its first batch. You can also ask Spark in a chat, and it shows a plan with the credit cost for you to approve.
Start the batch
In Basic mode, click Start creative generation. Spark plans and generates the batch without more questions, and makes static ads only. Adrio checks your credits before it starts. A project board opens right away and each ad appears as it finishes.
Edit what you want to change
Drag a box around a region to redo it, add your logo or a CTA button, make the other sizes, translate the ad, or create a variation. Every edit adds a new version next to the original.
Download or launch
Download an ad as PNG or JPG, at 1x or an upscaled 2x, or download the whole board as a zip. If you connected a Meta ad account, select ads and launch them as Meta ads, or ask Spark to plan the launch.
What Adrio reads from the URL
Adrio tries these sources in order and fills gaps from the next one.
| Order | Source | When it applies | What it gives |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shopify product data, the page's own /products/name.json | The URL looks like a Shopify product page | Title, description, images, product type |
| 2 | Schema.org Product data in the page (JSON-LD) | Other stores, or Shopify data is unavailable | Name, description, images, category |
| 3 | The page's meta tags and image gallery | The page has no Product data | Title, description, images |
| 4 | A full read of the page text | The data above is thin, such as a short description or few images, or it failed | Description and extra images |
Adrio then summarizes long descriptions, picks a category and product type, and suggests up to five selling points. If it cannot find a title and at least one image, the import fails and you can add the product by hand. Adrio reads the page without logging in, so a page that needs a login cannot be read.
Supported stores and inputs
| What you paste | What Adrio does |
|---|---|
| A Shopify product page (a URL with /products/ in it) | Reads that product from Shopify's public product data. No app, no store access |
| A Shopify store link | Lists up to 50 products to choose from. You pick up to 20 per import. Products you already imported are marked |
| A product page on another platform | Reads the page's Product data or meta tags, then reads the page text if that is thin |
| A home page that is not a Shopify store | Treated as a single product page. If it is not one, the import fails |
| No URL | Add the product by hand with a name, a description and 1 to 30 photos |
The store list comes from the store's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) catalog when it has one, and from the storefront's product listing when it does not. Gift cards are skipped. Products sold as the same design per device or size, for example "Design - Phone 15 Case" and "Design - Phone 16 Case", show as one card.
What happens to product photos
- Adrio saves up to 30 photos per product to your media library. Each file can be up to 50 MB.
- JPG and PNG files are kept as they are. WebP, AVIF, GIF (first frame), TIFF and HEIC files are converted to PNG if they have transparency and to JPEG if they do not, so every image model can read them.
- URL imports skip SVG, ICO, BMP, TIFF and video file links.
- Each photo gets a category, such as packshot, lifestyle, human with product or UGC, so Adrio knows how to use it. Photos under 768 px on the short side get a low-resolution warning.
- Product photos go into generation as references, which keeps the shape, label and color of the product accurate. In Advanced mode, Require images forces up to five chosen photos into every ad.
- Keep at least one clean front view on a plain background. It is the most reliable reference.
Sizes, formats and limits
| Item | Limit |
|---|---|
| Static ad size in Basic mode | One size per batch: 1:1 Feed, 4:5 Post or 9:16 Story and Reel |
| Other sizes | Make them later with Generate Sizes, which recomposes the ad instead of cropping it |
| Batch size | Up to 30 ads. Basic mode offers 4, 8, 12 or 20, or any number you type up to what your credits allow |
| Video ads | 9:16 or 1:1, from 5 to 60 seconds, built from the product's photos |
| Credits | A static ad costs up to 10 credits. Video uses video credits based on length and quality |
| Store import | 50 products listed and 20 imported per run. Your plan sets how many products a brand can hold |
| Languages | Choose a language when you generate, or translate a finished ad |
What a URL does not give you
- Price, variants and stock are not imported. Put the offer in the product description, or tell Spark what it is.
- There is no live link to your store. Adrio imports a product once and does not sync with it afterwards, so edit the product in Adrio when the page changes.
- Basic mode makes static ads only and never touches your Meta account. Video is made in Advanced mode or in a Spark chat. Launching to Meta happens from the project board or in a Spark chat, where Spark asks before it publishes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I turn a Shopify product URL into Meta ads?
Open Products, click Add product, and paste the product page URL. Adrio imports the title, description and photos. Then choose Basic mode, pick the product, a size and how many ads, and click Start creative generation. Spark plans and generates the ads, and you edit, download or launch them from the project board.
Do I need a Shopify app or access to my store?
No. For Shopify product pages Adrio reads the store's public product data, the same data anyone can load in a browser. It does not install an app and does not ask for store access.
Does it work with stores that are not on Shopify?
Yes, for product pages. Adrio reads the page's Product data (Schema.org) or meta tags, and falls back to reading the page text. Store links that list many products work for Shopify stores only. For other platforms, paste one product page at a time.
Does Adrio import price, variants or stock?
No. It imports the title, description, photos, product type and selling points. Add the offer to the product description or tell Spark what it is.
How many ads can I make from one product URL?
Up to 30 ads in a batch, and you can run as many batches as your credits cover. A static ad costs up to 10 credits, depending on the image model.
Can it make video ads from a product URL?
Yes. Video ads use the product's photos in every scene so the product stays consistent. Choose Video ad in Advanced mode, which unlocks after your first batch of static ads, or ask Spark for a video. Videos run from 5 to 60 seconds in 9:16 or 1:1.
Can I publish the ads straight to Meta?
Yes, once you connect a Meta ad account. Select ads on the project board and launch them as Meta ads, or ask Spark to plan the launch. Spark asks before it publishes, and you can launch the ads paused.
What if the import fails?
Try a different product page from the same store, or add the product by hand with a name, a description and your own photos. A product needs a title and at least one image.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $29/month and include monthly credits for generation. There is no free trial, and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee if you have used less than 20% of that period's credits. See the pricing page.
