How Spark goes from a product link to the next round
Reads your product and brand
You add the product by pasting its page URL and the brand by pasting its website. Spark works from the saved product, its photos, and the brand's colors, voice and logo. How product import works.
Studies ads running in your category
It searches Adrio's library of Meta ads, your competitor watchlist (pulled from the Meta Ad Library) and your swipe file, then reads the ads it plans to learn from.
Picks angles worth testing
It reuses your saved angles and audiences or proposes new ones. It also checks what you made recently so a new batch does not repeat the same formats.
Shows a plan, then makes the ads
The plan lists how many ads, which angle and audience each one uses, and what the batch costs in credits. Nothing generates until you approve it.
Builds the campaign on Meta
For a launch, Spark proposes a plan card with a new or existing campaign, the budget, the conversion event, and for each ad set the countries, daily budget and audience. It checks the plan against the live account and your spend limits. You edit it and confirm.
Reads results
Once ads have run, it reads return, CPA and CTR for every ad. When there is too little spend to judge, it says so and sets a date to look again instead of changing anything.
Moves budget
It proposes raising budget on winners and pausing losers. Each change has to match a written decision brief and pass your spend limits, and by default it waits for your approval.
Starts the next round
It briefs the next batch from what won and what did not, or runs that step on a schedule with an automation.
What Spark asks before it acts
Spark asks before anything that spends credits or changes your Meta account. These are the defaults:
| Action | Default |
|---|---|
| Reading your Meta account, researching ads, drafting plans | No approval needed |
| Generating ads, which uses credits | Asks, with the credit cost on the approval card |
| Creating a campaign | Asks |
| Creating an ad set | Asks |
| Changing a budget | Asks |
| Pausing or turning on campaigns, ad sets or ads | Asks |
| Publishing ads to an ad set | Asks |
| Launching a plan (campaign, ad sets and ads together) | You confirm on the plan card, and can launch it paused |
When Spark asks, you can approve once, decline, or allow that kind of action from then on. Generating ads and confirming a launch plan always ask unless you switch to Autopilot.
Permission modes
The mode is a setting for you and the brand you are working in. You can change it while Spark is working, and the new mode applies from its next action.
| Mode | What Spark does |
|---|---|
| Ask for approval (default) | Asks before sensitive actions |
| Full access | Acts without asking, except before spending credits or launching ads |
| Autopilot | Does everything without asking, including generating and launching ads |
Spend limits
Spend limits are set on the Meta card in Integrations. Spark cannot go past them, even when you approve a change. Leave a field empty for no limit.
| Limit | What it caps |
|---|---|
| Per campaign or ad set | The most any single campaign or ad set can spend per day |
| Whole account | All running budgets added together, per day |
| Spend per month | Spark stops raising spend once the month would pass this |
| Change pace | How fast Spark may raise a budget, per change and per 24 hours |
Decision briefs
Spark also has to write down why before it touches spend or delivery. Pausing or turning on ads, changing a budget, creating an ad set, adding ads to an ad set and launching a plan must each match a decision brief from the same chat. That brief is either an analysis of your account that an independent reviewer agreed with, or your own instruction quoted back. A change no brief covers is refused, and a brief older than 24 hours no longer counts.
Video ads
Ask for a video ad and Spark shows a video plan with a quality choice and a cost breakdown before anything generates. It writes the script, or keeps yours word for word, generates the clips, and adds captions, titles and music. Videos run from 5 to 60 seconds, in 9:16 or 1:1. Regular quality is faster. Premium costs about three times as much.
After the video is made you can change a scene by describing the change, for example "swap the second scene for a close-up". Adrio re-plans only what changed and reuses the clips that stay. Spark can also turn a finished static ad into a short video, and it publishes video ads to Meta the same way it publishes images.
Automations
An automation runs a Spark task on a schedule: daily, on weekdays, or weekly. Ready-made templates cover competitor research, creative strategy, customer insights and Meta performance. Each run opens a Spark chat you can read afterwards.
Automations start in Review mode, which holds results for your approval. Autopilot applies them automatically, so it can generate ads and spend credits without asking. Start with Review. Automations only add Meta spend once both daily spend limits are set.
Use Spark from Claude or ChatGPT
Adrio runs a remote MCP server. Add it to Claude as a custom connector, or to ChatGPT as an app in developer mode, and the assistant can search saved ads, read your brand and products, edit angles and audiences, start a Spark run, steer it, and answer its approval requests. Starting or steering a run uses credits, so the assistant has to get your approval first. Setup guides: Claude and ChatGPT.
What Spark does not do
- It works on Meta only. It does not launch Google, TikTok or LinkedIn ads.
- It does not delete campaigns, ad sets or ads, and it has no tool to edit the targeting of an existing ad set. Do those in Ads Manager.
- It does not go past your spend limits, even when you approve a change.
- It does not touch a Meta account you have not connected. Without a connection it can still research ads and make creative.
- It does not turn on Full access or Autopilot by itself. Both are off until you choose them.
- It does not promise results. Whether an ad works depends on the product, the offer and the market, and Spark says when there is not enough data to judge.
Spark compared with the other ways to do the job
The table compares what each option does. It does not rank them, because the right one depends on where your time goes.
| Compared on | Spark | Doing it yourself in Ads Manager | A general AI chatbot | An agency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Makes the ads | Static and video ads from your product and brand | You design them or brief a designer | Drafts copy and concepts. Image and video quality depends on the tool | Their designers make them |
| Studies ads in your category | Built-in ad library, watchlists and swipe file | By hand in the Meta Ad Library | Only what you paste in or it can search | Their strategist does it |
| Builds and launches campaigns | Yes, after you confirm a launch plan | Yes, by hand | Only with a Meta connector such as Meta's Ads MCP | Yes |
| Changes budgets and pauses ads | Yes, with approval by default and hard spend limits | Yes, by hand | Only with a connector | Yes |
| Who decides | You approve each sensitive step, or choose Full access or Autopilot | You | You, in the chat | The agency, with your sign-off |
| Platforms | Meta only | Meta | Not applicable | Set by the agency |
| How it is paid | Subscription with monthly credits, from $29/month | Your time plus your tools | The chatbot's own subscription | Set by each agency |
| Fits best when | New ads and budget upkeep take more time than deciding what to test | You run a few ads and want full control | You want help with ideas, copy or analysis | You want people accountable for strategy |
Spark is a poor fit if you advertise outside Meta, or if you want a person to own the strategy. Our own list of AI agents that manage Facebook ads compares seven other tools, and says where each one is stronger.
Pricing and credits
Spark is included in every Adrio plan. Plans are paid from day one, with no free trial. Each plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee if you have used less than 20% of that period's credits.
| Plan | Price | Credits per month | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $29/month | 300 | Solo marketers testing ads weekly |
| Pro | $69/month | 1,000 | Brands shipping new creatives every day |
| Max | $149/month | 2,200 | Teams running multiple client accounts |
Credits pay for generation. A static ad or an edit costs up to 10 credits depending on the image model, so every 100 credits makes at least 10 static ads. Video is priced per second of footage, and the rate depends on the model and resolution. Spark shows the credit cost before you approve a generation. Meta bills your ad spend to your ad account, separately from Adrio credits.
Every plan has unlimited member seats, and client workspaces come with the Max plan. See the pricing page and billing and credits.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an AI agent that can create and launch Facebook ads for me?
Yes. Spark, the agent inside Adrio, makes static and video ads, builds the campaign in your connected Meta ad account, publishes the ads, reads the results and moves budget. It asks for approval by default, and it works on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) only.
Does Spark spend my budget without asking?
No. By default Spark asks before it creates a campaign or ad set, changes a budget, pauses or turns on ads, or publishes anything to Meta. You can approve once, decline, or allow that action from then on. Scheduled automations start in Review mode, so results wait for you. Switch one to Autopilot only if you want it to apply changes on its own.
Can I review ads before they go live?
Yes. On the launch plan card you can choose Launch paused. You can also turn on Launch ads as paused in your launch defaults, so new ads wait until you switch them on in Ads Manager.
What does Spark need from my Meta account?
A connected Meta ad account and a default Facebook Page. If you optimize for conversions it also needs a pixel. Adrio lists anything that would block a launch, such as a missing Page or pixel, on the Meta card in Integrations.
Can Spark make video ads for Meta?
Yes. It writes the script, generates the clips and adds captions, titles and music. You can ask for changes to any scene afterwards, and Spark can publish the finished video to Meta with your approval.
Which Meta placements does it cover?
Feed (1:1 and 4:5), Stories (9:16) and Reels (9:16). You can download image ads as PNG or JPG, or publish image and video ads straight to your Meta ad account.
Can I use Spark from ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes, through Adrio's MCP server. The assistant can start and steer Spark runs and answer their approval requests. It needs your approval before it starts anything that uses credits.
How is Spark different from Meta Advantage+?
Advantage+ is Meta's own automation for audience, placement and budget inside campaigns you build, at no extra fee. Spark makes the ads, plans what to test, and builds those campaigns. New ad sets that Spark creates default to an Advantage+ audience.
How much does Spark cost, and is there a free trial?
Spark comes with every plan, from $29/month. There is no free trial. Every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee if you have used less than 20% of that period's credits, and you can cancel any time.
Can an agency use it for several clients?
Yes. The Max plan includes client workspaces, so each client keeps its own brands, assets and creative history. Every plan has unlimited member seats.
